Today
we celebrate because last night we took our country back. For the first
time in eight years, America is a true Democracy again. I am proud to
have been a part of this important movement in our nation's history,
and I have a deep sense of hope for the future. To everyone who
believed in me and worked so hard by my side - my family, friends, my
campaign staff, the volunteers and supporters - I say thank you. We
made history in this election, and we accomplished so much. We were
able to educate the voters of the 26th district about Congressman David
Dreier's real record, and we can't let up the pressure. He's been
re-elected to represent all of us, and let's make sure he does just
that.

Poll shows problems for David Dreier
Democratic Party candidates have been trying for nearly three decades
to defeat San Dimas Congressman David Dreier, who has been serving in
the House of Representatives since his election in 1980 as a Ronald
Reagan Republican. Dreier
has served in the district ever since, defeating a string of under
financed and little known opponents. After the 2000 reapportionment,
the 26th District was redrawn to include La Cañada Flintridge and La
Crescenta.
His major opponent this year, Rancho Cucamonga
businessman Russ Warner, believes that pattern could change in 2008, a
year in which politics has been difficult to predict.

Dreier’s Hypocrisy: He Was Against Government Bailouts Before He Was For Them
Rancho
Cucamonga - Rep. David Dreier voted for President Bush's plan to spend 700
billion taxpayer dollars to shore up several Wall Street banks. This is a new
position for Dreier, and a significant departure from his claims of fiscal
conservatism and statements still published on his campaign website:
"I believe we need to empower families to make sound economic
choices and avoid taxpayer funded bailouts."

Warner Hits Back, Lays Out Dreier’s Ties to Special Interests

Responding to a string of attacks lodged by incumbent David
Dreier, Russ Warner, a successful
small business owner and Democratic candidate for Congress in California's
26th district, responded today with a mail
piece that lays out
Dreier's numerous contributions and favors to his indicted friends and special
interests in Washington. Dreier's attack on Warner comes in the wake of a poll which showed a vulnerable Dreier falling below majority support in the
district.

DCCC Adds Russ Warner to Races to Watch List
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced that Russ Warner is included in the first round of Races to Watch in 2008. "I am thrilled that the DCCC recognizes Dreier's vulnerability and my dedication to defeating him this November," said Warner.
