Russ Warner’s Earth Day Bike Tour Across the 26th District
A message from Russ about Earth Day
This year to commemorate Earth Day, my family and I were joined by supporters of my campaign, for a bicycle tour across the 26th Congressional district. The 53 mile ride was energizing to say the least, and the response we got throughout the district was very encouraging.
Supporters came out along the route to show their support of my campaign and to send a serious message to David Dreier - it's time we stopped wasting our resources on the failed war in Iraq, and started focusing on ways to improve our community, including investing in clean, renewable resources.
David Dreier has consistently supported Big Oil and has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions from energy special interests. It's no wonder that he voted in support of drilling in ANWR and voted against higher air and water quality standards. What's worse, Dreier said "the jury is still out" on whether global warming exists.
With gas prices continuing to skyrocket with no end in sight, it's time we declared our energy independence from foreign oil and started supporting new policies that invest in alternative energy, like wind and solar power.
Last week, we wrote you asking to help support my bike tour of the district by contributing $53 - one dollar for every mile I rode across the district- and it's not too late! Continue to commemorate Earth Day by visiting my website at www.warnerforcongress.com. There you can find campaign updates and make your $53 contribution online.
Thank you for your continued support of my campaign for Congress against David Dreier. It's time we elect a representative who will fight for the priorities that really matter here at home.
Warmest Regards,
Russ Warner
Candidate
for U.S.
Congress (CA-26)
